In 2019, our Founder, Janece, made a conscience decision to pour into young women who much like herself aspired to be entrepreneurs. With a focus on HBCU collegiates, it became clear that these talented young women would need assistance along their entrepreneurial journeys. That assistance could be instrumental in ensuring that they succeed. Thus, The Couture Soror Endowment Fund was created to support HBCU collegiates who currently own a business by providing educational scholarships to aid their scholastic journey while simultaneously operating and establishing their respective businesses.

Six was our magic number! In December 2025, 6 years after the endowment was created, The Couture Soror Endowment Fund was capitalized after raising $20,000 to support its purpose! It became the FIRST officially licensed vendor of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to accomplish such a milestone! Now, a legacy of scholarships will yield from the endowment fund and continue to birth and support collegiate entrepreneurs! 

Seven is the number of completion! On July 22, 2026 during the 72nd Boule of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, The Couture Soror Endowment Fund received it's Green Diamond Award for this accomplishment! And we must say....Green looks GREAT on us!!! 

We must thank our supporters and customers! Without you all, it would not have been possible! For every one of our fundraisers you supported, a seed was sewn! For every product you purchased that gave back to our endowment, you helped our cause! Because of you, young women will have additional financial support as they finish college and start and grow successful business! Your purchases and support mattered! It has been about more than just buying paraphernalia.... You were supporting dreams....including ours! So from the bottom of our hearts, WE THANK YOU ALL!
